Import HTML Snippets As Blocks In The Web Editor

Learn how to use the HTML tab in the Add Block dialog to paste HTML snippets, import them into the current page, and understand disabled, success, warning, and error states.

This guide explains how to use the HTML tab inside the Add Block dialog in the Admin Web Editor.

Use it when you want to:

  • paste an HTML snippet into the builder
  • convert supported HTML into editable page blocks
  • add imported content directly at a selected position on the page

Before You Start

Open the Web Editor from System > Platform Customization.

Then open the Add Block dialog from the place where you want the imported content to appear.

After that, switch to the HTML tab.

What The HTML Tab Does

The HTML tab lets you paste HTML snippets and convert them into editable blocks inside the page.

This is useful when you already have prepared HTML-style content and want to bring it into the builder instead of creating the section one block at a time.

What You See In The HTML Tab

The HTML import area can include:

  • an HTML text area
  • an Import HTML button

These controls let you paste the snippet and start the conversion.

Paste The HTML Snippet

Paste your snippet into the HTML text area.

OpenMirai uses this pasted content as the source for the import.

If the content is supported, the builder can convert it into editable blocks.

Import The Snippet

Choose Import HTML when the pasted content is ready.

OpenMirai then converts the snippet and inserts the result at the position you selected before opening the dialog.

The imported content becomes part of the current page structure.

Understand Disabled Import State

The Import HTML button can appear disabled when the text area is empty.

If this happens, paste content into the HTML field first.

Once the text area contains content, the import action can become available again.

Understand Success Messages

When the import works, OpenMirai can show a success message.

This confirms that the snippet was accepted and added to the current page.

After that, review the inserted content in the canvas and continue editing if needed.

Understand Warning And Error Messages

If the pasted snippet is invalid or unsupported, OpenMirai can show a warning or error message.

When this happens, the import does not complete as expected.

If you see one of these messages, review the pasted content and try again with a supported snippet.

When To Use HTML Import

The HTML import flow is most useful:

  • when you already have prepared HTML-style content
  • when you want to bring content into the page faster than building it manually
  • when you want the imported result to become editable inside the builder

What To Do Next

  • review the imported blocks on the page
  • adjust the new content with block settings or styling tools
  • preview the page after important imported sections are added
  • save the page once the imported content looks correct
