Update Your Profile and Preferences

This guide explains how to use User Settings in the Admin Platform.

Use it when you want to:

• update your name or phone number
• change your profile photo or banner image
• add or remove social profile links
• update your profile categories and short description
• change your preferred language
• switch between system, light, and dark theme
• update your address information

Open User Settings

To open this page:

1. Go to System > User Settings.

OpenMirai then opens your personal settings page.

Understand The Page Layout

This page includes:

• a profile header at the top
• a save bar that appears when you make changes
• sections for:
  • basic information
  • profile media
  • social media
  • content and expertise
  • appearance
  • address information

Use this page when you want to manage your own admin profile and personal preferences in one place.

Review The Profile Header

At the top of the page, OpenMirai shows a profile preview area.

This can include:

• your banner image
• your profile photo
• your name
• your email address

This helps you review how your profile looks while you edit it.

Use The Save Bar

When you change anything on the page, OpenMirai shows a save bar.

Use it to:

• save your changes
• discard unsaved changes

If you preview a different theme and then discard your edits, OpenMirai returns the page to your previously saved theme.

Update Basic Information

The Basic Information section includes:

• Email
• First Name
• Last Name
• Phone Number
• Preferred Language

Important details:

• Email is shown as read-only on this page
• First Name and Last Name are required
• Preferred Language can be set to English or Thai

After you save a language change, OpenMirai refreshes the page and applies the updated language preference.

Update Profile Media

The Profile Media section lets you update:

• Profile Photo
• Banner Photo

OpenMirai supports image upload and cropping in this section.

In this flow:

• the profile photo uses a square crop
• the banner uses a wide crop

Use these fields when you want your admin profile to look more complete and easier to recognize.

Add Or Remove Social Links

The Social Media section lets you add links for:

• Facebook
• Twitter
• Instagram

Use these fields when you want to connect your admin profile to public social accounts.

OpenMirai checks the format of these links. If a link does not match the expected platform, the page shows a validation message and asks you to correct it before saving.

Update Content And Expertise

The Content & Expertise section includes:

• a category multi-select field
• a short description editor

Use categories when you want to tag your profile with the subjects or areas that best match your work.

Use the description field when you want to add a short profile summary. The editor shows a character count and has a 100-character limit.

Change The Interface Theme

The Appearance section lets you choose how the Admin Platform looks on your device.

Available theme modes are:

• System
• Light
• Dark

When you pick a different theme, OpenMirai previews it right away on the page.

Important details:

• the new theme is only saved after you save the page
• if you discard changes, OpenMirai returns to your last saved theme

Update Your Address Information

The Address Information section lets you update:

• Address
• Subdistrict
• District
• Province
• Postal Code
• Country

Use this section when you want your profile record to stay complete and accurate.

The Country field uses a dropdown selector. A clear button appears next to it, and that button becomes available after a country has been selected.

Important detail:

• if you enter part of the address, complete all address fields before saving

If the address is incomplete, OpenMirai can show a validation message for the address section.

Save Your Changes

After updating any section:

1. Review your changes.
2. Use the save bar to save them.

OpenMirai keeps you on the same page and refreshes the profile data after the update is complete.

Discard Unsaved Changes

If you do not want to keep recent edits:

1. Use the discard action in the save bar.

This restores the last saved version of your profile on the page, including your last saved theme.

If A Field Needs Attention

If a field is incomplete or uses the wrong format, OpenMirai shows validation feedback near that field.

Review the message, fix the affected field, and try saving again.

If The Page Is Loading Or Saving

While your current profile is loading, OpenMirai shows loading placeholders in the page sections.

When you save changes, the save bar shows a saving state. Wait until that process finishes before leaving the page if you want to make sure your latest updates were stored successfully.
